    CV - Short Version

    Casimir Lorenz is a research associate at the department Energy, Transportation, Environment at DIW Berlin  as well as at the Department of Economic and Infrastructure Policy (WIP) at the TU Berlin. His research focus lies on numerical energy system modelling with a focus on the future role of lignite and hard coal. Furthermore he analyses current trends and possible international cooperation in balancing energy markets. He studied economics and engineering at the TU Berlin with specialization in energy and resource management which he finished with the Master of Science (2013). From 2011 to 2013 he worked as a research assistant at the Department of Economic and Infrastructure Policy (WIP) at the TU Berlin. He was awarded with a scholar ship by the Reiner Lemoine Stiftung for his Ph.D. thesis, which he finishes in early 2017.
