    CV - Short Version

Since October 2013 Vaishali Zambre is a research associate at the department for Education and Family. She works on a project that intends to identify reasons that prevent students from non-academic family backgrounds to decide in favor of university education and which policy measures may help to overcome these differences. Further she co-ordinates an interdisciplinary education research network for young scholars (BIEN). Since October 2012 Vaishali Zambre is also a Ph.D. student at the DIW Berlin Graduate Center. Before she joined the DIW she studied Economics with a special reference to social science at the University of Potsdam (Diplom) and earned her Master degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
