    CV - Short Version

    Melanie is currently a Ph.D. student at the DIW Berlin Graduate Center. She obtained her master’s degree in economics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2014. In her master thesis she empirically analyzed whether risk preferences and personality traits influence prediction biases in future life satisfaction. During her studies, Melanie worked as a student research assistant at the German Socio-Economic Panel at the DIW. In 2016, she worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on a lab-in-the-field experiment in Turkey. Her research interests are behavioral and development economics, especially consumer finance and financial inclusion/development.
