    CV - Short Version

    In Fall 2017 Max Diegel joined the DIW Graduate Center to pursue a PhD in Economics. He earned his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Economics from Freie Universität (FU) Berlin. During his undergraduate Studies Max also studied at the Université Pierre Mendès-France (UPMF) in Grenoble. Before Continuing the Master’s he did an internship with the Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK) in Düsseldorf investigating possible dependencies between financial cycles and fiscal multiplicators. Since 2014 Max worked as a teaching assistant and later as a research assistant at the chair of econometrics at FU Berlin. In Summer 2017 Max was one of 20 student researchers in the seven week Open Source Macroeconomics Laboratory (OSM Lab) computational boot camp at the University of Chicago. His research interests are mainly, but not exclusively, in (monetary) macroeconomics and applied (time series) econometrics.
