  • CV - Short Version

    Khalid ElFayoumi is a PhD fellow at the DIW Berlin Graduate Centre. He holds a Master of Research Degree in Economics and Finance from Maastricht University, with a concentration in Econometrics, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University in Cairo with a minor in Computer Science. Before shifting to economics, he worked at the Egyptian Ministry of Industry, developing business plans to improve export competitiveness of small and medium-size textile and garment manufacturers. After that, he joined the Oil and Gas industry as a field engineer at Baker Hughes Inc. His research during his master´s focused on the dynamic valuation of long term assets exposed to stochastic market risk in a dynamic term structure framework. His current research interest falls in the area of financial frictions and asset pricing in dynamic macroeconometric models. Khalid joined DIW in 2014.
