There are no tuition fees. In the first year each doctoral student receives a scholarship of 1000 Euro per month. After the successful completion of the first year, i.e. the successful passing of all examinations, the doctoral students are assigned to the research departments of DIW Berlin. Research positions are offered depending on the volume of research projects under work. Also, doctoral students are encouraged to raise funds from external sources. DIW Berlin offers assistance and help.
