All publications can be downloaded online, most free of charge. By subscribing to our newsletter, you can be updated regularly about new publications of DIW Berlin.

In addition to contributions to the own publication series of the institute, the researchers of DIW Berlin are highly engaged in external publications. Of utmost importance in this field are articles in peer-reviewed journals (ISI).

DIW Wochenbericht
Published since 1928, the Wochenbericht is DIW Berlin’s flagship publication. Every week it offers condensed information on current economic policy issues. The language of the DIW Wiochenbericht is German, but each article includes an abstract in English.

DIW Economic Bulletin
The DIW Economic Bulletin is a DIW Berlin online publication. Every week selected articles of the Wochenbericht are being published in English.

Vierteljahrshefte zur WIrtschaftsforschung
The Vierteljahrshefte offer concise and high-level discussions on economic policy issues and economic controversies in German (with summaries in English). They have been published since 1926 by Verlag Duncker & Humblot.

DIW Roundup
In this publication, the Institute's experts provide an overview of discussions in their specific research areas and evaluate the latest research findings. DIW Roundup is published online and includes links to other online sources giving readers the opportunity to examine the topic in more depth.

Discussion Papers
The Discussion Papers feature latest research results that have not yet been published elsewhere.

Policy Advice Compact
DIW Berlin: Politikberatung kompakt presents completed research projects in a way that is meaningful and accessible to economic policy makers.

Data Documentation
This series documents data that DIW Berlin employees have developed as part of their research from all areas of the social and economic sciences.

SOEPpapers

SOEPpapers present research findings based on data resulting from the longitudinal research of the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP).

One-Off Publications
These publications provide contributions to current debates and research topics and they contain hitherto unpublished articles relating to certain sets of issues.
