Franziska Holz successfully presented her dissertation

Dr. Franziska Holz, researcher in the department Energy, Transporation, Environment, won the 2nd Prize of the German Association for Energy Economics (GEE/Energieforum Berlin) for her dissertation "Modeling the European Natural Gas Market - Static and Dynamic Perspectives of an Oligopolistic Market". The thesis shows that the completion of the Single European Market for natural gas is not only positive for the consumers due to lower prices, but it also helps reducing the import dependency on Russia. Franziska Holz currently works on the modeling of different resource markets, in addition to natural gas also on oil and coal.
