Presentation of the new World Bank Group report: “Poverty and Shared Prosperity 2016: Taking on Inequality”

On Wednesday, December 14, after a short introduction by Marcel Fratzscher, World Bank Group economists Mario Negre and Christoph Lakner will present the latest report from the Poverty and Shared Prosperity series, “Poverty and Shared Prosperity 2016: Taking on Inequality,” with a focus on its key findings.

The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Kati Krähnert, Head of DIW’s Department of Development and Security. Panel speakers include Ingolf Dietrich, Commissioner for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development; Colonel Faguimba Ibrahima Kansaye, military attaché to the Embassy of Mali; and Mario Negre, Senior Economist at the World Bank Group. Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion.
