SUMMARY:The Role of Peers in Estimating Tenure-Performance Profiles: Evidence from Personnel Data
DESCRIPTION:6.30 - 8.00 pm  // Abstract: We estimate tenure-performance profiles using panel data on individual workers' performance. The results show that a 10 per cent increase in tenure leads to a performance increase of 4.3 per cent of a standard deviation; this translates to a performance increase of 61 per cent within the first year of the employment relationship.
