SUMMARY:Writing English for Academic Journals
DESCRIPTION:The GC offers a workshop on writing good texts for academic journals. It is designed for researchers who would like to improve their English academic writing skills.Guided by our lecturer, Ellen Klein, we will discuss the writing process itself and look at the key elements of academic writing. Topics will include preparing and structuring a research paper; writing abstracts; language and techniques for functions such as presenting and developing an argument and so on. Two appointments in September and October are offered. The workshop is open to all DIW colleagues. If you would like to attend, please register with Yun Cao (ycao@diw.de).
