    Mathias Huebener is Post Doctoral Research Affiliate at the Department of Education and Family at DIW Berlin and a research affiliate at IZA. Mathias studied Economics at University of Essex and earned a Master in Economic Policy at University College London. He earned his PhD as a member of DIW's Graduate Center from Freie Universität Berlin. In his PhD Thesis "Essays on the impact of education and family policies on the formation of human capital", Mathias analyses the role of public policies in the formation of human capital and the emergence of differences therein. Mathias' major research interests are the economics of education, family and health economics, policy evaluations and intergenerational transmissions.
