    CV - Short Version

    Hedwig Plamper joined the DIW Berlin Graduate Center in October 2013. After studying at Bocconi University in Italy and the University of Virginia, she obtained her master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, where she also worked as a student teaching assistant. In her master thesis, Hedwig analysed the relationship between election outcomes and income distribution. Prior to joining the Graduate Center Hedwig gained experience as a trainee at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW), the European Commission and the European Central Bank, where she developed a keen interest in globalisation as well as European integration and its interaction with national competitiveness.

    After a long illness Hedwig Plamper passed away much too early on April 6, 2018.
