    CV - Short Version

    Catalina obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Guanajuato in Mexico. In her Bachelor’s thesis she did a simulation analysis of spurious regressions for long-memory processes and an application to the Sea Level-Temperature relationship obtaining a Cum Laude distinction. The latter work yielded into her first publication (coauthor). She completed her Master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in Econometrics and Applied Economics at the University of Konstanz. During her studies she worked in the Chair of Economics and Econometrics as a student research assistant. In her master’s thesis she analyzed Forecasts of main Macroeconomic Variables of the US based on Static and Dynamic Factor Models as well as Bayesian Regularization methods. She joined the DIW Graduate Center in 2015.
