    CV - Short Version

    Shan Huang has been a PhD student at the DIW Berlin Graduate Center since 2017. She completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at Humboldt University Berlin, with a semester abroad at Waseda University in Tokyo, and holds a Master’s degree in Economics (Research Master) from Tilburg University. During her studies, she worked as a teaching assistant in the Econometrics department at Tilburg University and as a research assistant for a project on patent pools at the Tilburg Law and Economics Center. In her master thesis, she investigated the effects of a ban on gender-based insurance pricing on risk segmentation in the German health insurance market. Her primary research interests lie in the field of health economics and its intersection with empirical industrial organization.
