    Boryana Ilieva is a PhD student at the DIW Graduate Center. Her research interests lay in the fields of applied microeconometrics, industrial organisation and competition policy. She holds a B.Sc in Economics from the University Mannheim and a M.Sc in Economics and Management Science from the Humboldt University in Berlin. In her Master theses, in a series of Monte Carlo experiments, she investigated the performance of a new nonparametric sieve minimum distance estimator for the joint density of random coefficients in the linear random coefficients model. Prior to joining the DIW, Boryana worked as a Forensic Data Analysis intern at KPMG and a Management Consulting intern at DB AG. During her studies she worked as a research assistant in the chairs for Microeconometrics and Management at HU Berlin. She spent a term at the University Sankt Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland and Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Spain, each.
