Climate Friendly Materials Platform

 In the first part of the workshop, organized in the framework of the CFM-TRACTION Project, we will discuss design options for CCfDs, preliminary results on the scale of savings that CCfDs could achieve, and a first estimate of the amount of public funding required for CCfDs in Germany. In the second part, we will discuss possible revenues of CO2 pricing with a pass-through of CO2 costs along the value chain (climate contribution) or the combination of full auctioning with border adjustment, as well as the distributional effects of such a policy measure. A second workshop will be held in December to discuss follow-up analysis on these topics based on the inputs from the first workshop.
