    Cortnie Shupe is a PhD Candidate in Economics at the Free University and DIW Graduate Center in Berlin. Her research interests center around public and labor market policy evaluation. She holds a Master's degree in Specialized Economic Analysis from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, a dual-degree Master's in International Relations (MAIB) from the Free University Berlin, Humboldt University, University of Potsdam and MGIMO, and a Bachelor's degree from the Robert D. Clark Honors College, University of Oregon. Prior to entering the doctoral program at the DIW, Cortnie worked as a project manager in the program Shaping Sustainable Economies (Nachhaltig Wirtschaften) at the Bertelsmann Stiftung.
