The research area "Markets and Regulation" combines methods from industrial organization with questions about competition policy and regulation. The aim is to investigate which policy instruments can be used to increase market efficiency. The current focus of our work is on the analysis of vertical structures, the importance of personal data for competition between firms, and the impact of various consumer behaviors on firm strategy and market allocations.
