Quality Initiative welcomes two new female researchers

Since the beginning of September, Tanika Chakraborty and Irina Georgescu are new members of DIW’s Quality Initiative. Tanika Chakraborty completed her Ph.D. at Washington University in St Louis in May 2009. Her interests include Applied Microeconomics, Development Economics and Labor Economics. Among others she focuses on the evaluation of education policies in terms of their impact on various labor market outcomes. Irina Georgescu obtained her PhD degree in Economics in 2005 from Turku Centre for Computer Science, Abo Akademi University, Turku, Finland. Her main fields of interests are consumer theory, risk theory, econometrics.
