Mathis Schröder new staff member

Mathis Schröder took over coordination of the project “Familien in Deutschland” (FID, families in Germany) in May 2010 as senior project manager.

He studied economics at the Humboldt University in Berlin and during this time also worked for SOEP as a student research assistant. In 2006 he attained his Ph.D. in Economics at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY/USA. After working for six months in a postdoc program under Richard Burkhauser, Mathis transferred to the Mannheim Research Institute for the Economics of Aging (MEA) in January 2007, where he was in charge of coordinating the third wave of the Survey of Health, Ageing, and Retirement in Europe (SHARE).

His research interests are in the fields of health economics and survey methodologies.
