The Graduate Center offers two 2-day workshops on giving scientific talks on October 16/17 and on October 18/19.
The course covers topics like targeting the audience, choosing content, commanding body language and voice, refining rhetorical skills, managing stress, as well as conveying messages authentically and convincingly. One part of the training will include videotaping presentations and analyzing them in the group.
A professional coach will give two successive workshops of 1.5 days each in English language. They take place from 9-18 hs. (first day) and 9-13 hs. (second day). Each of the identical workshop can fit 12 participants.
All DIW employees are invited to sign up for one of the two workshops with Yun Cao (ycao@diw.de) until Thursday 11th. Perefence will be given to GC students.
