Since 2017 Luise Burkhardt is a PhD student at the Berlin Graduate School of Social Sciences (BGSS) at Humboldt University. Her research focuses on the relationship of volunteering and life satisfaction from a life-course perspective.
Before she worked as a research assistant in the Survey Management of the project PIAAC-L (Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies) at the Socio-economic Panel.
She completed her master's degree in sociology at the University of Potsdam. In her thesis she explored the volunteer behavior of pensioners.
