Philipp M. Richter successfully defended his PhD thesis

Philipp M. Richter, doctoral student in the DIW Graduate Center since October 2011 and research assistant in the department Energy, Transportation, Environment since October 2012, successfully defended his dissertation on Trade and Climate Policies in July 2015 at TU Berlin. His thesis focuses on the interrelation between globalisation and climate change. The first part of this dissertation analyses the impact of trade liberalization on the environment and on environmental policies by means of theoretical trade models. The second part then investigates the role of climate policies for the future of natural gas and coal using numerical modelling techniques.
