Marica Valente is a PhD student at DIW Graduate Center of Berlin. She obtained her Master degree in Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE), where she majored in Environmental and Resource Economics. She did internships at the Ifo Center for Energy, Climate and Exhaustible Resources in Munich, and World Health Organization (WHO), and she was visiting scholar at the Universat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Her current research interests mainly focus on Applied Microeconometrics, Policy Evaluation, Machine Learning, and Environmental and Resource Economics (Climate, Agriculture, Energy and Waste), and spread to the economic impact of migration, crime and conflicts.
