Research Topics and Working Areas

Patrick Burauel joined the DIW Berlin Graduate Center in 2015 and is now research fellow at the SOEP. Patrick studied economics at an undergraduate level at University Maastricht with an exchange semester in Hong Kong. In 2015 he graduated with a Master’s degree from Paris School of Economics and Ecole Polytechnique. In his Master’s thesis he analyzed the evolution of inequality of opportunity over the lifecycle. He also holds a degree in International Studies from the Centre International de Formation Européenne taught in Istanbul, Nice and Berlin. The associated Master’s thesis dealt with China’s economic reform process and its integration in the world economy.
