Felicitas Schikora is a Ph.D. student at the DIW Graduate Center in Berlin. She began her academic career with an interdisciplinary Bachelor’s program (Governance and Public Policy, Economics as major subject) at the University of Passau. Subsequently, she stayed at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and the University of Connecticut (UConn), United States, for her Master’s program. She conducted her thesis as a part of a research project at the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IAW), Tübingen, where she also worked as a student assistent. The thesis investigated occupational careers within the non-medical healthcare industry in Germany and examined decisive parameters that motivate employees to a drop out of their profession early in their employment careers. She joined the DIW Graduate Center with the 2016 cohort.
