Björn Fischer is currently a PhD student at the DIW Graduate Center. After his studies of Politics and Economics at the University of Münster he gained his M.Sc degree in Public Economics at FU in Berlin. In his thesis he accessed the causal effect of retirement behavior on informal care provision in Germany using a fuzzy RDD design on SOEP data. During his time in Berlin he worked as a student assistant at DIW in the Department of Public Economics. Before that he completed internships at the Federal Ministry of Economics as well as at WSI in Düsseldorf.
