Lukas Boer is a Ph.D. student at the DIW Berlin Graduate Center and research associate at the department of International Economics. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt University Berlin and a B.Sc. degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim. He also spent study semesters at the Toulouse School of Economics and Stockholm University. During his studies in Berlin, Lukas worked as a research assistant at the international economics department of the DIW. His research interests focus on international finance and international macroeconomics. In his Master thesis, Lukas analyzed the optimal design of fiscal transfer schemes in currency unions while his bachelor thesis investigated the effect of trade openness on unemployment.
