Lukas Boer is a Ph.D. student at the DIW Berlin Graduate Center and research associate at the department of International Economics. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt University Berlin and a B.Sc. degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim. He also spent study semesters at the Toulouse School of Economics and Stockholm University. His research interests focus on international macroeconomics and time series analysis. In his dissertation, Lukas applies structural time series models to analyze the economic effects of US trade policy and the role of metals for the clean energy transition. Moreover, his research assesses the efficiency of different estimators for structural vector autoregression models and investigates foreign exchange interventions with textual data.
