The International Economics Department focuses on selected financial issues affecting the global economy. It concentrates its empirical research on two key activities: examining international financial markets in terms of their economic functionality; this encompasses also examining economic policy measures which aim for influencing international financial flows. Moreover, the department analyzes the contribution of financial development to the goal of shared growth in developing and emerging countries.
