Dr. Merve Kücük is a research associate in the Climate Policy Department and is associated with the Centre for Energy, the Environment and Natural Disasters.

Her research focuses on natural disasters' costs, household energy consumption and comparative empirical learning with its link to climate finance.

Prior to joining DIW Berlin, she received her Ph.D. from Deakin University. She holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and M.A. in Economics from Bogazici University, and MSc. in Finance from Grenoble Graduate School of Business.
