Prof. Dr. Alexander S. Kritikos

Alexander Kritikos is scientific member of the executive board of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) since May 2021 and Head of the research group on ‘Entrepreneurship’ since 2011. He is appointed as Full Professor for Industrial and Institutional Economics at the University of Potsdam, and Research Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), Bonn.

Alexander Kritikos studied economics and political sciences at the University of Munich. His research interests are Entrepreneurship Research and Innovation, and Behavioral and Institutional Economics. His articles have been published among others in Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Journal of Population Economics, and Research Policy. His OpEds have been published in various outlets like Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Handelsblatt, Die Zeit, Harvard Business Review, Ta Nea and Kathimerini.
