Research Cooperation

DIW Berlin works with a series of predominantly external research directors, research professors, and research affiliates. They collaborate for a specified period of time, fulfill cross-section tasks, and give important research impulses.

Research Directors

Research directors fulfill cross-section tasks, for example in the coordination of research and the production of publications. Working closely with a research department, they develop positions for DIW Berlin's empirical economic and social policy consulting services. They coordinate the research work and develop new and methodological core topics. Further tasks include continuing education and the supervision of researchers.

Research Professors

As external researchers, research professors work closely with a research department at DIW Berlin on research questions, political consulting, and continuing education.

Research Affiliates

Research affiliates are external researchers who work closely with one or more research departments of DIW Berlin on research questions, political consulting, or continuing education.

Cooperation with Institutions

In addition, DIW Berlin maintains numerous cooperations with national and international research facilities.
