The goal of the project is to provide scientific advice to the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA/DEHSt) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment in evaluating, implementing nationally, and further developing the EU’s Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). In particular, the project considers challenges and policy options arising in the context of the political decision process towards adapting the EU ETS Directive for Trading Phase IV.
