Revised SOEP-RV VSKT2022 and SOEP-RV RTBN2023 Datasets Now Available

Since April 2026, revised versions of the SOEP-RV VSKT2022 and SOEP-RV RTBN2023 datasets are available. These updated releases expand and refresh the existing datasets by adding new information that supports current research projects.

SOEP-RV is a joint project of the Research Data Centre of the German Pension Insurance (FDZ-RV) and the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin). The project was initiated and funded by the Research Network on Old-Age Security (FNA). It links data from the German Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) with anonymized administrative records provided by the FDZ-RV.

Because the social security records cover long periods of individuals’ lives, the linked data offer unique opportunities for researchers to study issues such as long-term social inequality and the effects of policy reforms over the life course.
