As of late November 2012, the data from “Familien in Deutschland” (Families in Germany, FiD) became available in version 2.1.
Along with small improvements, the most important change in this version is the provision of combined weighting factors for FiD and SOEP data for the years 2010 and 2011. This allows FiD and SOEP to be used together longitudinally for the first time.
