In November 2012, Marius Pahl began a threeyear program to become a Specialist in Market and Social Research (FAMS) as part of the German dual system of vocational training, with his practical training taking place in the SOEP at DIW Berlin. Marius will be the SOEP’s third vocational trainee. By supporting vocational training, SOEP is working to contribute to the Leibniz Association’s goal of significantly increasing the number of vocational trainees in Leibniz member institutes.
