The most important news about v37

  • In 2020 three new samples were added as part of the IAB-SOEP Migration Sample and the IAB-BAMF-SOEP Survey of Refugees: A current refugee sample (Sample M6), a migration sample with migrants from Poland, Romania and Bulgaria (Sample M7) and a sample of third-country nationals who applied for working in Germany as professionals ("Fachkräfte") (M8).
  • The data from the SOEP-CoV study have been integrated. In nine tranches, SOEP respondents in 2020 and 2021 provided information on their everyday lives and how they dealt with the Corona pandemic.
  • Data from the RKI-SOEP study are available upon request. In the fall of 2020, SOEP respondents tested themselves for Corona virus, their antibody status was determined, and they answered questions about disease progression where appropriate.

More detailed descriptions of everything that is new in v37 has been published in the "Changes in the dataset" section of our SOEP-Core webpage.
