Whats new in SOEP-IS 2023
General
Three new datasets have resulted from an innovative module from the survey year 2022, which have not been integrated into existing datasets. Although the datasets are now part of the default data, this module was only surveyed once in 2022, which is why no further updates are expected:
- dips3_calls
- dips3_daily
- dips3_hourly
bioparen
In recent years, the “bioparen” dataset has not been generated. With the 2023 release, there is now a fundamental update that makes the dataset available again in a simplified version. It now contains the pointers to the parents of the respective persons as well as some basic information (year of birth, year of death if applicable, country of birth). “bioparen” can therefore be used again to easily merge additional information on the parents of a respondent.
