The trend toward digitalization not only changes the organization of work in areas such as production, services and logistics, but also the work situation of employees. To study such changes, data is needed at both the individual and corporate levels. The SOEP-LEE2 project contributes to research through a linked employer-employee study in combination with an establishment and self-employed survey for Germany. The data infrastructure enables research into the organizational characteristics (such as ownership, turnover, employment structure), human resource management, changes in the organization of work and the consequences for the employees and their households. The data infrastructure relates this to different aspects of digitalization. In this article we describe the research project with the different surveys and present some results based on the first wave.
