Abstract

The study LGBielefeld 2021 was the second cross-sectional survey in the LGBielefeld series and aimed to gain insights into the living conditions and day-to-day experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, and inter* people in Germany. The study collected data from 7,332 people aged 18 years and older across Germany who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, or inter*(LGBTQI*) by means of an anonymous online survey. Data collection took place from September 3 to 30, 2021. The survey included a series of questions about the opinions and experiences of LGBTQI* people, including family life and partnership, health, employment, discrimination experiences, and privacy. The complete German survey questionnaire is presented in Appendix A. 1.
