SOEP-IS 2014.1 (Daten 1998-2014)

Die SOEP-Gruppe am DIW Berlin hat unter dem Namen SOEP-IS ein Panel für Kurzzeitexperimente, aber vor allem auch für Langzeit-Erhebungen, die im Kern-SOEP (SOEP-Core) nicht möglich sind – zum Beispiel, weil es sich um noch nicht etablierte Instrumente oder sehr spezifische Erkenntnisinteressen handelt –, gestartet. Neben den Stichproben E und I aus SOEP-Core, die in den Jahren 1998 bzw. 2009 gestartet sind, wurden 2012, 2013 und 2014 neue Stichproben in SOEP-IS aufgenommen, um eine Zielgröße von 5.000 Befragten zu erreichen. Seit 2011 werden in den jährlichen Erhebungen neben Fragen aus dem Kern-SOEP auch Innovationsmodule in die Erhebung integriert, die ab dem Erhebungsjahr 2013 in einem kompetitiven und begutachteten Wettbewerb um die „besten" Forschungsfragen und deren Operationalisierung ausgewählt werden. Die Befragung wird von TNS Infratest Sozialforschung in Form von persönlichen computergestützten Interviews (CAPI) durch speziell geschulte Interviewer_innen repräsentativ in ganz Deutschland durchgeführt. In den Daten finden sich Informationen über Einkommen, Erwerbstätigkeit, Bildung und Gesundheit. Die internationale Version enthält 95% des Stichprobenumfangs.
