Louise Biddle joined the Socio-economic Panel (SOEP) in 2023 as a post-doctoral researcher on the project SUARE (Longitudinal study on refugees from Ukraine in Germany), focusing on aspects of discrimination and health. She holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a PhD in Public Health from Bielefeld University. Her research focuses on the social and contextual determinants of health for refugees and migrants, including housing, social networks, discrimination, regional deprivation, health systems and asylum policy.
