The Energy, Transportation, Environment Department researches different strategies of sustainable development in energy, transportation and the environment in order to formulate sound policy recommendations. Transforming the energy system and the effects of energy and climate policy on the resource and environmental markets are of primary concern. Certain aspects of the transport markets are also examined. The department develops and employs quantitative economic optimization and equilibrium models as well as econometric methods in its research towards mobility and a climate-friendly, competitive, and secure energy supply.
