Alessia is a PhD candidate at the Berlin School of Economics and DIW Berlin. She completed her MSc in Economic and Social Sciences at Bocconi University. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University and spent four months as a trainee at the European Commission in Brussels. Before starting her PhD, she worked as a full-time pre-doctoral research assistant at the Institute of Applied Microeconomics at the University of Bonn. Her research interests lie in applied microeconomics, with a particular focus on the economics of crime, gender, and labour economics.
