Dr. Cristóbal Moya is a researcher at SOEP investigating how people understand and respond to social and economic inequalities. Current projects focus on status disadvantages and fairness preferences, beliefs about gender inequality in labor markets, and the social legitimacy of redistribution. He uses a variety of methods, including survey experiments, computational text analysis, and panel data methods.
He leads SOEPcampus, where he advances applied social science training using large-scale panel survey data and promotes an open science research framework.
Before, he was a researcher at SOEP in the Leibniz Collaborative Excellence project "Perceptions of Inequality and Justice in Europe".
