SOEP at Conference Honoring Shlomo Yitzhaki

On 2 and 3 November 2026, Carsten Schröder and Lotte Maaßen participated in the conference “Inequality and Tax Policy: A Conference in Honor of Shlomo Yitzhaki” at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The event celebrated the scholarly legacy of the late economist Shlomo Yitzhaki, who passed away in 2023.

Schröder and Maaßen presented their paper “Inheritances and the Structure of the Wealth Distribution in Germany.”

For Schröder, the conference also had a personal dimension, as he had collaborated closely with Yitzhaki over many years and co-authored numerous publications with him.
