On May 19, Alexander Kritikos has officially taken the office of Vice President of DIW Berlin. At the same time, he received the certificate of appointment for his professorship at Potsdam University. Kritikos was appointed by the Board of Trustees of DIW Berlin last March.
In his office of Vice President, Alexander Kritikos will mainly be responsible for the scientific work of DIW Berlin. One priority will be the preparation for the evaluation of the institute by the Leibniz Society in 2012. “Our goal must be, especially after the turbulences of the last months, to focus again on our core task: Research and, based on that, policy advice”, Kritikos said.
