The aim of the research meeting is an open, informal exchange in order to promote the discourse on "sustainable finance" from a research perspective and to cooperate constructively on the basis of our different fields of research and experience. The informal discussion in a small group allows interactive and open discussions.

Agenda

11:00-11:20 Short introduction, summary of the last meeting

11:20-12:00 Tour de table - short personal introduction of the participants, additions to the agenda

12:00-13:00       

  • The European Commission's Technical Expert Group and the EU Member States' Expert Group on Sustainable Finance
  • Relevant research questions from the BMF perspective (Simon Kramer, BMF)
  • How can we support the expert groups on which topics / in which form / along which time axis?
  • How do we cooperate with the expert groups?

13:30-16:00

  • Detailed discussion of specific research contributions, including: Taxonomy and disclosure - which specific aspects and research questions should be addressed?
  • Science-based goals and future-oriented approaches for climate risk and climate protection strategies at corporate and public level
  • Disclosure: existing national policies, voluntary schemes, links to taxonomy work
