Report of April 11, 2025
We are happy to announce the launch of the #ManyDaughters Study, an international research initiative exploring how having daughters influences behavior, preferences, and attitudes. Researchers from all fields of social sciences are invited to participate in this collaborative project, which will use data from the German Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) to test four key hypotheses on the impact of daughters across various outcomes.
How it works:
Research teams (RTs) will submit pre-analysis plans (PAPs) and analysis codes, which will be implemented by the project coordinators. The results will be analyzed to gain insights into the scientific process itself and the impact of having daughters. All RTs whose analysis codes are implemented will be credited as co-authors in the study’s publications.
Get involved:
If you're a researcher in the social sciences, don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to an exciting and impactful study. Simply register on our project website to join, submit your pre-analysis plan, and learn more about the study. Apply by April 27, 2025 to participate and be included as a co-author.
